TYRAN AULT
Tyran was raised in Fort McMurray and called that community home for more than two decades. He recently transferred to Calgary with Suncor Energy where he has worked for seven years. He is currently the Team Lead, Upstream Communications. In this role, he is responsible for internal and external communications, corporate reputation, events and more. In previous roles with Suncor, Tyran had the Wood Buffalo community investment program in his portfolio, which included working alongside non-profit groups across northern Alberta.
In Fort McMurray, he served as an elected Municipal Councillor for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Ward 1 from 2013 to 2017. In addition to being a Councillor, he was Chair of the Audit Committee, Chair of the Land, Planning & Transportation Committee and also served on Communities in Bloom and the Rural Development Committees. Tyran also served on several boards before being elected, including Fort McMurray Tourism and Leadership Wood. He was selected as one of Fort Murray’s Top 50 Under 50 (2017) and Top 40 Under 40 (2013).
Prior to a career in communications and politics, Tyran was in radio broadcasting as a DJ and news reporter in Saskatoon, Whitecourt and Fort McMurray. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Major in English) from the University of Lethbridge and Diplomas in Contemporary Radio and Advanced Television from the Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon.
Tyran has been married to his wife Cali for four years and they recently welcomed their first child in April 2018 – a beautiful girl named Ruby.

SCOTT BOLLINGER
Scott is a real estate lawyer as well as a licensed real estate broker. Scott has been an active member of the Alberta real estate industry in since 2006. He began his career in commercial real estate then transitioning to residential real estate. Scott opened his own residential real estate brokerage in 2010 which encouraged enhanced seller education, participation and service options. Scott’s brokerage was acquired by a national brokerage for which he maintained responsibilities in regulatory compliance and corporate and business development before returning to law school.
A life-long Albertan with a deep and abiding connection to this province, Scott has a sincere desire to contribute to the evolution and improvement of the Alberta real estate industry.

KRISTA BOLTON
Krista is a Chartered Mediator with her practice focused on family mediation. Her education includes a bachelor of science in linguistics at the University of Victoria as well as a certificate in Conflict Management from the ADR Institute of Alberta. Currently she is working towards a certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice.
She has over six years of international teaching experience in both Japan and the United States. Since relocating to Alberta in 2007 she has worked primarily for the Government of Alberta as a mediator for Family Justice Services as well as conducting multi-party mediations in child protection cases. In addition, she has also been able to devote some of her time to other projects such as: facilitating anger management courses for rural communities, participating in community and civil mediation rosters and as well as extensive mediation, conflict-coaching and facilitation work in Alberta with families, communities, businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
Krista currently serves on the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) as the public member appointed by council. Some of her RECA committee work includes governance, hearings and finance, and audit. She also sits on hearings and appeal panels as a public member.

DOUG LEIGHTON
Doug is Principal of EDG (Environmental Design Group) specialising in sustainable development and urban design. He has over thirty five years’ international experience in leadership positions in the public and private sectors and a long track record of successful projects.
A graduate of the University of Calgary (BA Geography / Masters Environmental Design), Doug initially worked as an architect and planner in Calgary and Vancouver. He moved to the public sector as Design and then Senior Planner for the Resort Municipality of Whistler. In 1990 Doug was appointed as founding Director of Planning and Development for the Town of Banff, where he led the Downtown Enhancement Project, development of the Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw and helped establish the Banff Housing and Heritage Corporations. His post graduate studies include Finance (Queens University), Urban Design and Management (Harvard Graduate School of Design) and Leadership (the Banff Centre).
In 1997 Doug moved to New Zealand and became Principal of leading consultancy Boffa Miskell. He helped to develop the NZ Urban Design Protocol and advised clients as diverse as Housing New Zealand, Waterfront Auckland and Shania Twain. He returned to Canada in 2008 to establish Carma Developers’ Vancouver Island operation; and finally ‘came home’ to Calgary in 2012 as Brookfield Residential Properties’ VP Planning and then VP Sustainability (North America) from 2014-17.
Doug is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Canadian Institute of Planning and Royal Architecture Institute of Canada. He has served as a Director of the Alberta, New Zealand and British Columbia Planning Institutes, ULI Alberta and (currently) QUEST. He was appointed to the Board of Governors of the Alberta Real Estate Foundation in November, 2015 and re-appointed for a second term in 2017.

JANICE RESCH
Janice was born and raised in Red Deer Alberta into a family that’s has been active in Organized Real Estate since 1962. After years of working in the Recreation Therapy field Janice became a licensed REALTOR® in 1995. Over the past 23 years in Real Estate, Janice has served as President of the Red Deer and District Real Estate Association twice, and served on the Board of Directors for a total 11 years. She also served as a director of The Alberta Real Estate Association for 4 years. Janice has been chair of the Red Deer Realtors Charitable Foundation, with her efforts in this area prompted her to be chosen for the AREA Quality of Life Award in 2006, CARA Realtor of the Year in 2008 and AREA Life Member Award in 2012. Janice is a member of ‘The Consider it Done’ Team at Century 21 Advantage and is a Centurion Producer specializing in Residential Real Estate in Red Deer and area.
Janice has been married to her husband Ron for 25 years and has 4 children & 6 grandchildren all who remain in Red Deer. In her spare time Janice enjoys spending time with the family at Gull Lake during the summer & getting away to Nuevo Vallarta in the winter. Janice enjoys skiing, travel & most of all, time with her Grandchildren.

JIM SAUNDERS
Jim is an Associate with RE/MAX Real Estate Lethbridge. He was raised and educated in Lethbridge and calls Southern Alberta home. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in 1978, but not before venturing into the business world as a self employed contractor to finance his education. Before he graduated he had begun a successful retail business in the automotive specialty industry, which he sold in 1982 to pursue a career in Real Estate.
In 1983, the year he was first licensed, Jim was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” by the Lethbridge Real Estate Board, and his passion for Real Estate was born. Thirty-two years later Jim enjoys recognition as a member of the RE/MAX Platinum Club and the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. Although his practice is focused on residential Real Estate, he has experience in commercial, country residential, acreages, farms, and land development.
Early in his career Jim was intrigued by the structure of Organized Real Estate and soon became involved, volunteering on various committees, and participating at the local (LDAR), provincial (AREA & RECA), and national(CREA) levels. He is a Past President of the Lethbridge and District Association of Realtors and a Past President of the Alberta Real Estate Association.
Jim and his wife Katie have been married for 31 years and enjoy travelling, golfing, and of course their three grandsons. Jim is also an avid water skier and loves his time in the mountains and at the lake.

TASH TAYLOR
Tash is the Executive Director of the Alberta Network of Public Housing Agencies (ANPHA), the industry association for non-profit housing in Alberta, Canada. She has centred around capacity building and community for over 20 years. Her leadership experience spans multiple sectors including senior roles with the Edmonton Public School District, St. Albert Housing Society, Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta and NWT, Imperial Oil, and Alberta Women Entrepreneurs. Notably, Ms. Taylor was the founding Executive Director of Alberta’s Youth Volunteer Society, a charity dedicated to building youth volunteerism in Alberta in collaboration with the Province. Early in her career, she led and transformed a social enterprise in rural Alberta, to support the local women’s emergency shelter, and won awards for her results.
Tash began her post-secondary studies with the University of Ottawa, and completed her Master’s of Business Administration specializing in Executive Management at Royal Roads University. She holds Certified Executive Coach and Certified Risk Manager designations, and has completed the Queen’s Strategy and Strategic Analytics programs. Tash is also trained in evaluating Social Return on Investment (SROI) using international methodologies.
She serves on the Board of Directors with the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, and several community boards and civic agencies. Passionate about advancing social and economic capacity, she says: “If we all do a small part in advancing the way we live today, we can enable the attainment of individual and collective potential, which ultimately leads to stronger communities, and a more resilient nation overall.”
